Editing: New Male Performer

This time, my partner and I decided to closely review our footage before we upload it onto our computer. As we were pleased with the outcome of our footage as it was well executed and as a result decided to incorporate it within our music video.

As our male performer was the main focus our music video we decided to incorporate his performance more frequently throughout our music video. Our footage worked really well with our music video therefore we continued to edit our male's performance.

Editing: Institutional Logos

When it came to creating institutional logos, I wanted to make my own, using existing examples. In order to make my logos look as professional as possible, I researched various existing logos that would help me create my own. Whilst producing the logos, I tried to keep them as simple, yet as interesting as possible in order to draw the audience's attention towards my products. I also thought I could take existing logos and alter them in order to avoid copyright, but also, so I could keep the logos exciting.

Editing: Male Performance

Just as my partner and I did with our previous footage, we decided to upload and save our clips in the same place as our previous material. Once again, we found this very useful as allowed us to visually reflect over our work as well as quickly and easily find a piece of footage that we were looking for as we renamed the footage we wanted to incorporate within our music video.

Editing: Magazine Ad Improvements

As I wanted my magazine advert to replicate a real media product. I worked towards tweaking and editing my magazine advert in order to ensure that it looks the way I had desired. I edited various aspects of my magazine advert such as my font, style and the cut-off point between my main image and text.

Editing: Digipak Font Variety

As I stated before, the font I incorporated throughout my digipak wasn’t as well executed as I first hoped. However, I decided to spend some time and work on the overall font choice of my digipak.

Filming: Male Performance Re-Take

Once, Lucy and I had reviewed our footage of our male performer, we decided to re-take the performance as we found that it was very static and we didn’t execute it as well as we wanted to during the first take of filming.

Filming: Male Performance

Location: Highfields Park

A significant aspect that our music video was lacking, was the use of a male performer which we incorporated with the intention of creating a star image and promoting the artist.

We travelled to Highfields Park (a location we had previously filmed in) and filmed several takes of our male performer lip synching. We also filmed in a variety of locations with the intention of gaining an insight as to which location would work the best with our music video. We decided to film in Highfields Park with the intention of enabling our audience to link our artist’s performance with the narrative.

We gathered our filming equipment and filmed in a range of settings.

Task O: Original Images Before Manipulation

In order to create a digipak and magazine advert, we had to take our ow photography. As I wanted to incorporate a double exposure effect within my digipak and magazine advert, my photographs consisted of a female's profile view and a diverse range of naturalistic images.
